JOB SUMMARY:

The Factory Team Member is responsible for their personal safety and those around them by ensuring compliance of plant safety standards and with applicable laws and regulations issue by regulatory agencies. In addition, the Factory Team Member will handle, transport, lift, push, cut, shape, and inspect flat glass. The Factory Team Member will operate equipment and tools in a manner that is safe to themselves and others. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Ensure compliance to plant safety standards and with applicable laws and regulations issued by regulatory agencies. 
• Report any safety incidents, or near misses, to management IMMEDIATELY. 
• Learn specific job in assigned department through our designated training program, taught by the Department Lead. 
• Inspect glass to ensure “finished goods” or “work in progress” glass meets specific job quality specifications listed in training material.
• Discard defective glass and report recurring quality issues to management. 
• Monitor workstation, equipment, tools, and practices for proper operation and report any upset condition to management. 
• Learn and operate plant scanners to ensure Work Order traceability. 
• Participate in Root Cause Analysis events as required. 
• Ability to work shifts other than Daylight (6:50am – 3:00pm) 

o Afternoon (2:50pm – 11:00pm) 

o Midnight (10:50pm – 7:00am) 

• Strong work ethic and organizational skills. 
• Reliable mode for transportation. 
• Other duties assigned by management.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. 
• Ability to read a tape measure 
• Basic mathematical skills 
• Basic computer experience

WORK ENVIORNMENT: 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to:

• Moving mechanical parts
• An increased noise level within the work environment 
• Temperature fluctuations within the plant between hot and cold according to seasonal changes 
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in designated areas

o After 60 Working Days = $19.50/hr 

o After Next 60 Working Days = $20.00/hr
